I guess that you're reading this because you're planning a special event, which you want to be perfect, and for that to happen you need to know and trust your celebrant. So, here's a bit about me for you to find out if I'm the celebrant you want and if we'd work well together.
My dad was from Wales and I'm proud of my Welsh heritage, it's given me sensitivity, creativity and an interest in all things Celtic. And my mum was from Yorkshire so it's from her I inherited a practical, no-nonsense approach to life, and the need to start the day with a good cup of tea! After spending 30 years as a teacher and academic, doing voluntary work in Bosnia and travelling extensively, I'm also well-organised, used to writing and public speaking, highly professional and I'm pretty unflappable, helping you to keep calm on your big day.
When I'm not working, despite living in the middle of the country I love spending time at the seaside. I love walking and playing with our lovely new rescue dog, Mutley. I like to garden and cook, especially with a glass of wine in hand - cooking, not gardening! Like many, I'm increasingly trying to reduce my impact on the planet and I bring this to my work too, making it as ethical and sustainable as I can.
I love the work that I do now and I feel fortunate to live as I do. And although I take my work seriously I like to enjoy it too, looking for the humour and making sure everyone enjoys themselves. And, for your reassurance, I am professionally qualified and experienced. I hold a Certificate in Civil Celebrancy from the Fellowship of Independent Celebrants and I have created and conducted all types of ceremonies. As a member of FOIC I have public liability insurance of up to £5million and professional indemnity insurance cover, but I hope I'll never need it!
I would love to work with you on planning and creating an exclusive and personal ceremony
so get in touch and let's get started
