Carol and Matthew, Whitley Hall

Planning your civil partnership or wedding involves lots of decisions - where it will take place, will there be a theme, will there be bridesmaids, or bridesmen, who to invite, what to wear ... With so many decisions the last thing that many people think of is the words of the ceremony itself - but getting these right can help the day feel more special, exclusive to you, and memorable for everyone.

You may already know exactly what you want, but if not it can be daunting. I can work with you to create an exclusive ceremony, and help you with some of the decisions about what you want the day to look like and feel like. If you are not sure about what you want, I can discuss different options with you, help you choose words for your vows, think about appropriate readings and any additions you might want in your ceremony - such as handfasting, rose ceremony or sand ceremony. Whether you choose a traditional venue and ceremony or something quirky and unique, I can design, write and present a ceremony that is exclusive to you and which will reflect your personalities and lifestyle.

Following your initial enquiry I would meet with you to talk about you and your ceremony. I would then draft a ceremony which we would discuss until you were happy with it. If possible, there would be a rehearsal or read through, but this is not always possible or necessary. On the day I would lead the ceremony and ensure that it ran smoothly. Afterwards, you would be given a certificate and a keepsake copy

of the words of the ceremony.

I am the in-house celebrant for the Millenium Gallery, Sheffield. If you would like to have your ceremony at the Gallery then first contact their wedding organiser, Louise Wright, on  The Millenium Gallery is a fantastic venue so do consider it, and I look forward to planning your ceremony with you.
