Organising a funeral can be a stressful time, there is so much to think about and so many decisions to be made, so it is helpful if you have someone who can help you and guide you to create a special and personal service. I hope I can be that person for you. So, to help you decide, here's a bit about me.

My dad was from Wales and I'm proud of my Welsh heritage, it's given me sensitivity, creativity and an interest in all things Celtic. And my mum was from Yorkshire so it's from her I inherited a practical, no-nonsense approach to life, and the need to start the day with a good cup of tea! After spending 30 years as a teacher and academic, doing voluntary work in Bosnia and travelling extensively, I'm also well-organised, used to writing and public speaking, highly professional and I'm pretty unflappable.

I've been a celebrant for six years and have a wide range of experience. Before that I worked in education so I am confident in writing and in public speaking.

Life is not all about work, though, and I do like to spend time at the beach or in the garden, and I always seem to be out walking the dog!

I love the work that I do now and I feel fortunate to live as I do. And, for your reassurance, I am professionally qualified and experienced. I hold a Certificate in Civil Celebrancy from the Fellowship of Independent Celebrants and, as a member of FOIC, I have public liability insurance of up to £5million and professional indemnity insurance cover, but I hope I'll never need it!
